15 people, 2000 products, 8000 components - all Sea Sure products manufactured in Warsash, UK

by Daniel Henderson, Sea Sure 11 Dec 2020 04:00 PST

Sea Sure have been supplying dinghy and yacht equipment around the world since 1961. Contrary to popular belief, we manufacture all of our products in-house at our factory based in Warsash, Southampton.

Our team of 15 people produce a range of over 2000 products, using 8000 individual components. Our in-house capabilities include CNC (Computer Numerically Controlled) Milling, CNC turning, tool making, welding, pressing, plastic moulding and assembly.

Our 00 range blocks have been a part of our product range since the 60's and have been used on many Olympic class boats. Although the 00 range 25mm block is now no longer the high performance block that it was in the 60's, it is extremely dependable, light weight and has breaking loads of between 500 and 1250kg, making it one of the highest loading blocks of its size on the market, 50+ years after it was designed.

We manufacture every part of the 00 range blocks, from the plastic moulded sheave, to the stainless steel side plates, and assemble them in-house. Below are a couple of short videos showing the moulding and assembly process of the 25mm 00 range block.
