Opalinski Design House - the glorious 120m M/Y Indah

by Opalinski Design House 11 Dec 2020 18:48 PST

Very much 'the beautiful one' 120m M/Y Indah from Opalinski Design House. Project 'Indah', stemming from Indonesian origins meaning 'beautiful one', has been created to meet the growing demand for Mega Yachts over 100 meters, but can also work from 60m onwards.

Whilst the yachting industry is constantly improving in every way possible, we noticed that there is a need for a vessel that introduces progressive design, state-of-the-art technology, and innovative features. All the while maintaining real connection with the sea, and emphasising the unspoken tradition, mightiness and romance associated with a true ocean going vessel.

This yacht utilises a proven design template, at the same time pushing the boundaries of what is possible... Key aspects include, new layout and space management configurations, mastered proportions, dynamics and elegant aesthetics. Environmentally conscious propulsion systems combined with unparallel innovation throughout the vessel, are further highlighted by her unique ability to transform.

All in our quest to achieve another dimension in yachting experience. "Form and function exist in simultaneous harmony."

The slender lines and dimensions of this vessel enable it to cross oceans, cruising in both comfort and safety. Her vertical bow features a unique shoulder flange, which is designed to deflect spray similar to the traditional flared bow. Her bridge deck, with 360-degree visibility, provides ideal situational awareness for captain and crew.

This design emphasises innovation and forward thinking, while maintaining the dynamics, elegance and romance, of a true ocean-going vessel. One of the key features of this layout is the unique 'Private Owners Suite' with dedicated aft deck balcony.

There is also a foredeck jacuzzi with sun beds and retractable sunshade. Up for'ard there is also a helicopter landing pad with optional garage below the deck.

Unobstructed views through wind deflecting glass balustrades, and then when at anchor, Indah surprises with yet another feature. Her transom bulkheads rotate outwards revealing additional deck space that nearly doubles the size of a conventional swim platform. When fully deployed the top surfaces of the extended decks are raised in order to level with the swim platform, thus creating unified, stunning and purposeful complete entertainment and relaxation zone at water level.

The gym and sauna are behind the tinted glass with views aft. Sunpads composed of light sections that are easy for the crew to set up. When the transom is fully deployed it allows for easy access to the water, and unobstructed views from much larger deck space.

The uniquely designed openings in the bulwark also serve as tender access. In this configuration, the tenders remain out of sight, but also readily accessible when required. Our custom tender design service is also available.

We are committed to a sustainable future for our planet, including our oceans. While the proposed propulsion system includes proven diesel-electric power plants, we are always motivated to implement the latest technology related to optional renewable energy, with inclusion of hydrogen, solar generating surface coatings, hidden vertical wind turbines and other available cutting edge equipment.

GA and layout configurations available at request. Transom feature has been protected and registered with USPTO and EPO under utility patent law. Opalinski Design House is currently offering licensing for Rotational Transom Bulkheads Feature to selected manufacturers.
