Pershing's GTX series continues to revolutionise the cruising experience with Pershing GTX70, the most compact model in the Sport Utility Yachts range, combining the "grand turismo" spirit and remarkable liveability of the previous models with the agility and dynamism offered by a smaller boat. Presented in world premiere in the iconic waters of Capri on the occasion of the brand's 40th anniversary, Pershing GTX70 offers a sensational new dimension of comfort on board, while maintaining the excellent performance and sporty character that have always been imprinted in Pershing's DNA.

With a length overall of 21.76 metres and a 5.42-metre beam, the new model is the result of collaboration between the Ferretti Group Product Strategy Committee led by Piero Ferrari, Vallicelli Design and the Group's Engineering Department. Produced at the Ferretti Group Plug and Mould facility, where the brand's advanced technology and expert craftsmanship intersect, the construction of Pershing GTX70 was completed in the new Mondolfo production area where the GTX range is built. The third model in the series extends across two decks and a sportbridge, comfortably accommodating up to six guests in a layout featuring three cabins.

Pershing GTX70 is the result of careful research to maximise the interior and exterior spaces, which are respectively 10% and 30% larger than the areas available on other models in the same category, increasing on-board liveability and offering guests direct contact with the water. This focus on functionality is also reflected in the exterior design, where the deckhouse architecture is instrumental in obtaining a large main deck and a generous sundeck. The sleekly dynamic, arch-shaped profile is seamlessly integrated with the hull, creating extraordinary visual harmony. The exterior design maintains the distinctive aesthetic approach of the GTX range, reprising some of the style features of the larger models, such as the near vertical bow connected to the keel line, giving the boat an elegant, slender profile.

Main Deck

The innovative features shared by all the models in the GTX range include the configuration of the stern area on the main deck, which extends across two levels: the first designed for experiences in direct contact with the water and the second for socialising.

The first level hosts the beach area, which can be extended to offer up to 23 m2 of space by opening the side terraces, increasing the total beam to almost 8 metres. Like the other models in the range, Pershing GTX70 features a swim platform fitted with dual linear lift technology that moves it into two positions: lowered to launch a jet-ski or a Williams 325 tender or aligned with the beach area to increase the living space. On this first unit the transom incorporates a sun pad, creating a privileged vantage point with a view of the water. The area is also furnished with a deckchair and an armchair by Modenatech, two carbon fibre design elements that enhance the comfort and liveability of the space. An optional retractable electric awning can be added to shade the beach area.

Three convenient steps lead up to the second level, dedicated to a cockpit shaded entirely by the sportfly. This area is furnished with a C-shaped sofa and a table, offering guests moments of conviviality without sacrificing contact with the water. This area is directly connected to the galley by an up-down glass panel that retracts into the galley cabinet unit and by a folding door on the starboard side, both features that help create a truly open space on the main deck of Pershing GTX70. The U-shaped galley on the port side of the boat is completed, on the opposite side, by a full-height fridge and plenty of storage space. Moving forward, the importance of the widebody structure is clear to see in the living space, where the design of the two facing L-shaped sofas creates a sense of perfect spatial harmony. The lounge furnishings are completed by an extending table on the starboard side and a TV with lift mechanism that slides behind the sofa on the port side.

The design of Pershing GTX70's interiors maximises liveability—a goal it achieves thanks to the continuity of the furniture from stern to bow. Despite the boat's compact size, the living area has a very generous surface area, while the open layout of the galley helps connect the various functions provided on the main deck, creating a space that integrates the furnishings of the living and dining areas. The spatial harmony is also pointed up by the lighting, designed by Altraluce, which features decorative LED light strips in the ceiling—an aesthetic and functional solution that ensures diffused lighting across the entire deck. In the living area, the palette chosen highlights the colour contrasts between various elements, such as the dark nabuk on the sofas paired with the muted colours of the staircase.

The raised helm station in the bow on the main deck has two monitors, with a joystick incorporated in the tunnel between the two pilot seats. The windscreen with no central pillar, in keeping with Pershing tradition, and the large side windows offer 360-degree visibility, perfect for the helm station. The helm station on the starboard side provides access to the bow area, which can be fitted with a sun pad and a dinette containing an up-down table that converts this into one big sunbathing area.

Lower Deck

The staircase on the port side of the main deck leads to the lower deck, where an innovative layout optimises the space in order to offer guests maximum comfort in this area too. The lower deck of Pershing GTX70 contains three cabins and three en suite bathrooms.

The full-beam master suite is midships. As well as being fitted with cabinets and storage spaces along all sides, it also offers a walk-in wardrobe next to the en suite bathroom, both positioned aft to separate the master cabin from the bulkhead next to the engine room. The other two cabins are also designed with a sharp focus on space: in the VIP cabin - located forward - the double bed is positioned with the headboard against the starboard side to create more usable floor space; in the guest cabin, on the other hand, the two beds are arranged crosswise to take advantage of the central space. Another distinctive feature of the lower deck is the practical laundry room that can be accessed from the hallway.

The guest cabins ensure maximum privacy from the crew area forward, which contains two bunk beds and a bathroom.

Tapping into the aesthetic on the main deck, the interior design of the lower deck also aims to maximise liveability. In addition to the contrasting colours in this area, the use of large mirrored surfaces in the cabins increases the perception of space and exploits the lighting to its best advantage. The lighting design reprises the light strips on the main deck, using them to showcase the main alignments in the decor.

Sportbridge

Despite the more compact dimensions compared to previous models, the sundeck on Pershing GTX70 is generous with space. The sportbridge on this model extends across 16 square metres split into three spacious areas for sunbathing, dining and the helm station. The generous full-beam sunbathing area in the stern on this deck is connected directly to the dining area through an L-shaped sofa with extending table. The area is completed by an outdoor galley incorporated in the helm station support structure. Forward, the helm station and the three seats occupy the central section of Pershing GTX70's beam, while the wheel is on the starboard side. This arrangement also ensures perfect visibility when mooring, aided by the staircase that connects the sundeck to the cockpit - also positioned on the starboard side - from which the stern of the boat can be seen. Shade for the dining area and helm station can be provided by an awning with carbon fibre poles or, on request, by an innovative bimini top with prepreg carbon fibre poles and a streamlined design, perfectly coordinated with the one on the sundeck.

Propulsion and Technology

Equipped with three 900 HP VOLVO PENTA D13 IPS1200 units, Pershing GTX70 reaches a top speed of 36 knots and a cruising speed of 30 knots (preliminary data). In keeping with brand tradition, this model too is equipped with advanced technology, including Volvo IPS electro-hydraulic steering, HUMPHREE Interceptor trim control and Seakeeper gyroscopic stabilizers. The yacht has CE Class A certification, the safest for boats under 24 m.
