In summer conditions, 27 boats turned out on Sunday 22 April for this event with 12 visitors and 15 home boats, with a mixture of rigs to include radials and a 4.7. The Race Officer, Paul Wren set interesting courses on the broad but was able to use the club line for starts as the wind direction was favourable.

The first race was sailed in light F2 and Alan Bishop of Fishers Green tussled hard with Martin Evans of Dabchicks to win. Then the wind picked up and swung to the west making the beats one sided but livening the sailing.

The final race produced the most challenging start with a general recall followed by the black flag rule, but no one succumbed to that. Subsequent races were to see Martin win from different challengers, notably Jarvis Simpson of the RYA and Simon Marfleet of WOBYC and so Martin took the main trophy. First Hickling boat went to Mark Jones who sailed consistently to be placed 7th. The Radial prize went to Anne Hobson from Hickling.
