Gul and P&B Team Sailor leads Optimist Selection Trials

Christian Townrow has taken an early lead in the British Optimist selections for this years European and World Championships
Gul and P & B Race team sailor Christian Townrow has had a brilliant opening weekend in the Optimist Selection trials taking the top spot on the rankings after an excellent weekend sailing at Pwllheli on the 18th to the 20th of April.
15 year old Christian won three out of five races, all of which were held on the Sunday due to winds of over 40 knots encountered on the Friday and Saturday. His lowest result was a respectable fourth which he was able to discard. He now sits at the top of the leader board with 5 points.
Christian is hoping to extend his lead in the next selection trials in Weymouth between the 3rd and 5th of May.
