Crewsaver & John Merricks Sailing Trust in search of two new stars

Crewsaver in conjunction with John Merricks Sailing Trust are seeking 2 rising stars who are looking for sponsorship – Applications close on 30th June 2012.

Without financial support from other people, 1996 Olympic 470 Silver Medalist, John Merricks would never have been able to fulfill his ambitions and demonstrate his remarkable talent for sailing. Set up by those closest to John following his untimely death, The John Merricks Sailing Trust seeks to help other young sailors achieve their goals.

Since 1997 the John Merricks Sailing Trust, a registered charity, has supported youth sailing by awarding more than 165 grants. Totaling over £253,000 these awards have been made to deserving individuals, clubs and youth organisations that have demonstrated their commitment to sailing and financial need.

We are seeking 2 sailors (Under 25) who can demonstrate how £500 worth of Crewsaver sailing kit each would assist them to achieve their goals in 2012-13.

Please send in your applications with a full sailing CV and explain how this would benefit you to:
Suzy Hamel
JMST

Applications close on 30th June, the awards will be announced on Monday 16th July 2012.

Crewsaver and The John Merricks Sailing Trust are proud to be Supporting Youth Sailing in the UK.
