On Saturday 17th October the Streaker fleet will gather for the final event in the Sail Register sponsored Northern Paddle Travellers Series at West Riding sailing Club.
The Northern Paddle Series (best of 12 races) is still wide open for an eventual winner with current leader Steve Blackburn (West Lancs) up against Ian Bradley (Ouse Amateur) for overall honours.
As usual though with Streaker events, it is not just about who wins as all that qualify by achieving 12 race results from the series will be in the prizes. The icing on the cake as usual will be the end of season draw for a new Sail Register Streaker sail. All participants (close to 80 Streaker sailors) in the series will be entered in the draw.
West Riding is always one of the best supported venues on the Northern Series with an expected 25 Streakers. The added bonus this year is that it is also the Northern Area Championship, won last year by Alan Gillard (Sheffield Viking), who has been absent from the Paddle series this year but is looking to defend the Area Championship.
