2018 Scottish Solo Travellers' Series starts at Bardowie Loch next Saturday

The 2018 Scottish Solo Travellers' Series gets underway on Saturday 21st April at the CCC Dinghy section at Bardowie Loch. The series of 9 events will take us from St Mary's Loch SC in the south to Aberdeen & Stonehaven YC in the north, Loch Tummel in the west to Largo Bay in the east.

There are probably half a dozen who could win the series but as always last year's winner Kevan Gibb is probably favourite.

The opener at Bardowie usually gives one of the biggest turnouts thanks to the location and the large local fleet. Though local knowledge seems important at this tricky venue one of the usual suspects usually produces the goods. The forecast is for 15 degrees and 10 to 15 knots of wind which should encourage a good fleet.

Named after one of the founder members of the N.S.C.A One of the founder members of the N.S.C.A, Nigel sailed his National Solo at Emsworth SC and then Chichester YC for over thirty years.
