IMTRA, the leading manufacturer and importer of quality marine products, announced today that the Zipwake Dynamic Trim Control System has been selected by several boat builders as the standard fit trim control system for newly launched vessels.

The revolutionary system has recently been integrated into new models from Grady White, Cruisers, Hatteras, Mag Bay and MJM boats, to name a few.

"As a small family company, we want everyone who comes onboard the Mag Bay 33 to have the best experience possible," said Barrett Howarth, vice president, Mag Bay Yachts. "She is a very unique boat and in a class of her own. We use the highest quality components in every aspect of the boat. IMTRA supplies our underwater and overhead lights, windlass gear and Zipwake Trim Control System. Very quick and responsive, the Zipwake system is easy to use and does exactly what you want. We tried out the system and loved it so much we made it standard on all of our boats."

"The Zipwake trim system is a robust and advanced solution for high performance boats," said David Clubbs, director product development, Hatteras/Cabo Yachts. "The CAN bus network with integrated display makes for a simple, fail-proof installation. During testing we were very pleased with the system's fast response time, auto trim performance and its extremely intuitive controls, all of which come standard."

"Once we started working with Zipwake, we immediately knew that this was a top-notch product," said Eric Braitmayer, CEO, IMTRA. "It is not only well-made, but the innovation in the design makes it a true revolution in the trim control space. We are so pleased to offer this product and that these quality builders understand the value of Zipwake compared to traditional trim tab systems and other interceptors."

Featuring an advanced, intuitive, 3D interface, Zipwake Dynamic Trim Control Systems deliver a more comfortable ride, better performance and improved fuel consumption for any planing or semi-planing boat from 20 to 60 feet, regardless of sea conditions. Offering unmatched control of running trim, pitch, heel or list, the system incorporates patented, durable fast-acting interceptors that provide efficient lift.

Installation of the modular system is simple with different size and shape units (including new versions specifically designed for outboards and chine applications) allowing a near full beam arrangement. The key innovation of the Zipwake interceptor design is each blade extends just 30 mm – exactly where it is needed. Other trim tabs often project 150 mm into the water and create substantial drag. Zipwake's design allows for full blade deployment in 1.5 seconds – five times faster than conventional trim tabs and much more efficiently. Each kit includes all the parts needed to install a Dynamic Trim Control System with one pair of fast-acting straight interceptors.

Additional interceptors can be purchased and added depending on the shape of the hull. A base installation allows a total of six interceptors without the need for additional connectors or power supply.
