At the upper echelon of luxury lifestyle and exceptional engineering, superyachts and supercars are set to converge on the 2018 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show from May 24 to 27.
Leading the spectacular superyacht display at next week's 30th anniversary event will be the Australian premieres of the Gulf Craft's Majesty 100 'OneWorld' and Ocean Alexander's 85e Motoryacht. Both yachts feature superlative on water prowess combined with all the luxury furnishings and finishes expected in an exclusive residence. Exquisite interiors open onto expansive decks forming a comprehensive entertainment package. Horizon Motor Yachts Australia will also showcase an impressive collection including the stunning RP97, RP94 and E88.
Complementing the on-water opulence and performance, SCIBS Major Sponsor Bentley Brisbane and Supercar Street will feature the best of the on-road performance with a stellar line-up of supercars to be on display.
This year marks Bentley's 6th consecutive year involved in the marine and lifestyle event, which presents the perfect opportunity to not only showcase the luxury range but to also celebrate the official Queensland launch of the all-new Bentley Continental GT.
At this year's SCIBS 'Supercar Street', visitors will be able to behold some of the world's most prestigious automotive marques, including the latest and one-off models from Aston Martin, Rolls-Royce, McLaren, Porsche, Mercedes Benz, Maserati and Lamborghini.
Bentley marketing manager Clinton Wright said the all-terrain, all-purpose Continental GT offered an exceptional driving experience, and will no doubt attract an armada of admirers during the four-day event.
"For us, Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show is the ideal mix of the luxury lifestyle and a vibrant event where we use to host our 300 customers over the four days," he said.
"This is the Queensland launch of the Continental GT and it will set a new standard for the Grand Tourer segment for its technology and craftsmanship."
Aston Martin Queensland and McLaren Gold Coast, specialising in Sports Cars, Grand Tourers, UltraLuxury and Supercars will present a selection of their uniquely British brands, including the new Aston Martin DB11 V8 Coupe, new McLaren 720S and new Rolls-Royce Dawn.
From Porsche Centre Gold Coast, several of the current models are sure to set pulses racing and hearts aflutter, including the GT2 RS, 911 GTS, 718 Boxter GTS, a magnificent example of a Panamera and Macan.
Also on show, to whet Boat Show visitors' appetite for getting behind the wheel, will see two Porsche in Motion pods – pop-up trailers which comprise a mini-Porsche showroom and the other a virtual reality Porsche hands-on experience inviting visitors to feel what it's like to get behind the wheel of these superlative German supercars.
SCIBS general manager Johan Hasser said Supercar Street will provide an exclusive opportunity for visitors to see an exquisite selection of the world's most prestigious vehicles in one place up close.
"While our visitors come to see the latest boat and marine product launches, they share a strong interest in luxury cars. It's a match made in heaven," Mr Hasser said.
"Supercar Street perfectly complements the other displays at the Show and we think this year's diverse line-up will thrill and inspire visitors of all ages."
From covetable supercars to equally majestic superyachts, SCIBS will have a diverse array of 80ft+ vessels on show.
The Majesty 100 is the first in Gulf Craft's collection to have a partially enclosed flybridge, allowing guests sitting within its spacious lounge area to enjoy breathtaking views of the vast seascape – as though they are seated in a traditional flybridge, but with the added luxury and comfort offered by indoor living.
Floor to ceiling windows in the main saloon add to this connection with the water and unimpeded views of the passing scenery. This superlative superyacht can accommodate up to 12 guests in five staterooms, each with an ensuite and a crew of six onboard. Built to RINA Commercial Yacht Charter Class, Cayman Islands LY3 (Short Range) and AMSA' NSCV Code Class 1E & 2C, OneWorld is optimised for the Australian charter market and will become a 5-star addition to the fleet.
From Ocean Alexander Yachts, making her Australian debut is one of the brand's top selling models – the 85e Motoryacht. Combining classic semi-displacement hull design with contemporary elegance, the 85e's genius is in the details. Her interiors offer an abundance of light, space and luxury. Finishes and fittings are the same as those in exclusive residences throughout the world. The 85e is an excellent entertaining platform with ample room for guests, including the expansive flybridge area, while below deck, guests can enjoy luxury accommodation.
While the 85e marks a new era in design, her pedigree is assured based on Ocean Alexander's acclaimed 40-year heritage of engineering for safety, performance and comfort.
A year-round resident at Sanctuary Cove, Horizon Motor Yachts Australia will present a luxury line up which will feature the stunning Horizon RP97, RP94, E75, and E88.
The biggest on display in the collection, the Horizon RP97 offers the best of both worlds with a unique blend of interior and exterior space. A 21'6" beam allows for 4 spacious staterooms with en-suite heads and offers an optional country kitchen or on-deck master design on the main deck. The RP97 also provides an enclosed helm area as well as a full exterior fly bridge deck with outside entertaining areas and tender storage, ensuring you will cruise in ultimate luxury with family and friends.
At 94 feet and with a 21-foot beam, the Horizon E88 has been customized to suit Australian clientele, offering a spacious four stateroom layout plus crew quarters aft of the engines and a sky lounge that provides a comfortable place to pilot the yacht during inclement weather conditions.
One of the most impressive features is the heated jacuzzi and bar on the flybridge. Another compelling feature of this luxury superyacht is the addition of a Yacht Controller, meaning there is no need for a Captain or crew onboard, the vessel can be easily handled by a couple.
