Race 5 was won by the Mixed Youth crew of Estela Jentsch and Daniel Brown (GER). They finished third overall in the Open World Championship for the class in 2017 in La Grande Motte, France.
Race 6 was won by Rex and Brett Sellers, 34 years after Rex Sellers (now 68) along with the late Chris Timms won the Gold Medal in the Tornado class at the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles. The Olympic regatta was the first in which the two had sailed together. One of the great thinkers of sailing, Timms was killed in March 2004, after attempting aerobatics prior to an airshow, in a jet aircraft he was piloting. Sellers and Timms won a Silver medal at at the 1988 Olympics in Korea.
