Multihull Solutions enjoyed sensational success at the 2019 Sydney International Boat Show taking orders for catamarans valued at almost AUD$12M, with sales from the event expected to exceed AUD$20M following sea trials and delivery date confirmations.

The company's stand was a hive of activity throughout the show with visitors flocking to inspect the new ILIAD 70 power catamaran, which had its exclusive worldwide launch at the event.

ILIAD Catamarans has taken the marine industry by storm since the brand's international launch at the 2019 Sanctuary Cove Boat Show where four of the new models were sold, and Multihull Solutions took two more ILIAD orders at the recent Sydney show, including an ILIAD 50 and 60.

The ILIAD range, which comprises the 50, 60, 70 and 90, are stunning achievements in power catamaran design delivering safe and comfortable offshore performance with some of the longest-range capabilities in their market segment (2500nm-6000nm).

The brand is particularly unique in that clients are able to customise many aspects of their chosen model to reflect their individual style and needs but without the epic cost involved in changing aspects of most production and semi-production power catamarans.

Fountaine Pajot's Astrea 42 and Saona 47 sailing catamarans and the Fountaine Pajot Motor Yachts MY 44 power catamaran were also on display with Multihull Solutions at the Sydney International Boat Show and attracted strong interest.

Six Fountaine Pajot catamarans were sold during the event, including a Saba 50, two Saona 47s, two Lucia 40s and an MY 44.

Multihull Solutions managing director Mark Elkington said the Sydney International Boat Show was a huge success for the company and particularly for the new ILIAD brand.

"We came to the show buoyed by the success of the new ILIAD range at its Sanctuary Cove launch and were confident of the new 70 being well received in Sydney," Mark said.

"However, public and industry interest in the ILIAD 70 at the show was overwhelming and has us extremely excited about the future of this innovative new brand," he said.

"It's very clear that ILIAD is filling a void in the market for powerful and luxurious semi-production catamarans that can be affordably customised to suit each client's individual needs.

"Our success at the Sydney show further consolidates our position as the leading multihull supplier in Australia with our brands again being the preferred choice by buyers.

"It is a credit to the Multihull Solutions team who give all their energy at boat shows to share their experiences and offer advice and solutions for buyers entering the multihull market. We lead buyers through the process of a purchase, and don't just order take," Mark said.
