New product releases dominate this week's e-newsletter as METSTRADE gets into full swing in Amsterdam.

METSTRADE presents a traditional opportunity for companies to announce new products and this year was no exception. On its METSTRADE debut, Inmarsat, the world leader in mobile satellite communications, is introducing its unique capabilities to deliver reliable and flexible connectivity globally for superyachts and yachts with its new Yachting and Passenger portfolio of services.

Dometic introduced the next generation smart trim tab system which brings a completely new level of precision control and many technical advantages including user programmability. A true game changer for the industry which opens up many possibilities for boat builders and boaters. Dometic has launched a new Smart Trim Tab System designed to give owners of inboard/outboard and outboard powered boats a level of precision control never before possible. This new system is truly a "smart" reinvention of the trim tab, offering robust construction, user programmability, quick, accurate response, connectivity and intuitive operation.

Global engine manufacturer Yanmar is introducing its latest new-generation electronics at this year's show. The YD42 Multi-Function Colour Display and YD25 LCD Switch Panel Display will make their debut at the show as Yanmar highlights the advanced technology and innovations behind its complete line-up of sailboat and powerboat engines.

Other new product releases this week includes the popular performance range of Tii sailing blocks from Allen that has just gained a new addition, the long awaited 60mm version. Allen Tii blocks are designed for soft attachment applications. Ideal for use in systems where weight saving is a necessity, there is no requirement for a metal shackle or maximum performance is demanded.

VETUS is expanding its innovative BOW PRO thruster portfolio, its highly-regarded range combining the latest thruster motor technology with the most advanced motor controller in the industry for near silent operation and precision proportional control.

Flying the Australian flag overseas, Alexander Marine Australia attended the 2019 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, 30 October to 3 November, for the world premiere of the Ocean Alexander 84R, the spacious, family-oriented motor yacht with expansive leisure and social areas on each deck.

And in Thailand, Multihull Solutions will be staging four new catamaran launches at the 2020 Thailand Yacht Show from 9-12 January. The company will be holding the world premiere of the new Stealth 36e power catamaran as well as the exclusive Asia premieres of the award-winning NEEL 51 trimaran, the MY 40 by Fountaine Pajot Motor Yachts and the Indigo 53-day charter power catamaran.
