More than 45 years on from launching the world's first ever flotilla holiday, Sunsail brings two new stunning flotilla routes to the UK for the first time.

Based at Port Solent in Hampshire, the new flotilla charters are perfect for exploring the UK's stunning south coast. The region offers steady winds and excellent sailing conditions, providing an exciting challenge for even the most seasoned of sailors, while the option of hiring a Sunsail skipper is there for families and groups who want to try sailing for the first time.

UK flotilla holidays include the newest members of Sunsail's expansive fleet, the luxury Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 41.0 yachts, which are launching in March 2020. These yachts offer a beautiful, modern and spacious interior, equally comfortable in both cruising and racing scenarios.

The new UK flotilla routes are a fantastic way to see the Isle of Wight, home to Cowes, sailing's most famous seaport town with a pace of life that recalls the golden age of British seaside towns. Busy towns, picturesque villages and the ever-changing nature of the sea means a sailing holiday on England's south coast always has something new to offer.

Easter Solent Sights Flotilla

Available from 10-13 April 2020, this four-day flotilla over the long Easter weekend is set to mark the start of the British sailing season. A new luxury Sunsail 41.0 yacht for up to nine people in April for four days costs £1,320.

Summer Bank Holiday Flotilla

Available through two summer bank holidays, 23-25 May 2020 and 29-31 August 2020, this three-day mini cruise will see you sail in company and embark on a tour of some of the most famous destinations of the Solent. A new luxury Sunsail 41.0 yacht for up to nine people in May and August for three days costs £1,320.

Kate Staniforth, Sunsail's Senior UK Marketing Manager comments, "We are delighted to launch our first ever UK flotilla routes, which are perfect for first time sailors and experienced skippers alike. These mini cruises are ideal for those looking to get a true taste of flotillas closer to home, whilst sampling our new fleet. We're pleased that the new Sunsail 41.0s feature a highly efficient engine design, another way that we are demonstrating our commitment to protecting the environment and waters in which we operate."

The Easter Solent Sights Flotilla and Summer Bank Holiday Flotilla holidays include a fully equipped Sunsail 41.0 yacht, Yacht Damage Waiver, lead yacht and crew to guide you, assistance with moorings and a G&T party with Opihr Gin, the UK's number one premium spiced gin brand, in the evening on board the lead boat to give your UK break some extra zing.

At each daily morning briefing, the lead crew advises on the day's sailing, ideal routes, weather conditions and hidden gems for you to discover together. Packed full of fun group activities flotilla holidays offer the chance to explore with new friends or enjoy your independence.
