The average fire damper is overly thick and often requires an engineer to work around its sheer size when designing it into a bulkhead. The Slimline A-60 Rated Marine Fire Damper from Delta "T" Systems is a mere 108mm deep, even in the enormous 1.4sqm model. Ideal for both new builds and refits, it's available for global delivery in 56 ready-to-install standard sizes plus many semi-custom configurations with only a 48-hour turnaround.

Made in the USA of 100% 316 stainless steel, the Slimline A-60 Rated Marine Fire Damper delivers unmitigated failsafe operation. Its CE-approved electric actuator is powered by 24-240VAC or 24-125VDC and is housed in a NEMA IP54 ZP Type 2 enclosure. Incredibly safe and reliable, it complies with Subchapter M, is USCG approved for use in penetrating Class A-0, A-15, A-30 and A-60 bulkheads and decks, and is Wheelmark certified under MED.

The Slimline A-60 Rated Marine Fire Damper is fully automatic. If the air surrounding the separately mounted heat sensor rises above 73.8 degrees C, the actuator closes the damper with 20.33 N-m of torque. Its blades overlap and a patented independent locking mechanism engages when fire is detected.

When the vessel engineer or a USCG inspector needs to check the device, a test switch is conveniently mounted above the temperature sensor. Unlike some fire dampers, the Delta "T" solution is manually resettable so the thermal tripping device doesn't need replacement in the event of accidental exposure to elevated heat conditions.

The Slimline A-60 Rated Marine Fire Damper is offered in standard frame sizes from 238mm W x 238mm H to 1,187mm W x 1,187mm H. To accommodate installations involving unique ductwork or rough openings, custom dimensions are available. Delta "T" Systems will ship a fully functional demonstration model to qualifying maritime professionals; contact for details.
