Buster's flagship model, the Phantom Cabin, has been fully updated for the 2021 boating season. The luxury commuter model is joined by the new Phantom Cabin Adventure version for demanding professional use transporting passengers, while a separate WC further enhances usability.

The most significant new feature on the 2021 Phantom Cabin is the separate WC, which is situated in front of the navigator's seat. Access to the WC is easy through the opening roof and L-shaped door. Standard equipment includes a water faucet and septic tank.

"The Phantom Cabin has been fully updated based on customer feedback. While most customers use their Phantom Cabin as a commuter boat, the addition of a separate WC significantly improves comfort and expands the range of possible uses for this model, especially for cruising and tourism applications," says Marketing Manager Johan Finnberg.

Phantom Cabin Adventure designed for transporting passengers

Buster's luxury commuter model is joined by the new Phantom Cabin Adventure, which has been designed especially for transporting passengers in demanding conditions and for use by adventure tourism companies. The cosy and warm cabin can seat 11 passengers plus the skipper.

The Phantom Cabin Adventure replaces the U-shaped seating and table with three rows of benches, and the pantry behind the navigator's seat is replaced by a new wide seat that can be folded up against the wall. Sturdy grab handles and foot supports further enhance safety at high speeds.

The bow area in the basic model version has seating for three passengers, while the U-shaped seating at the stern comfortably seats five. The backrest of the navigator's seat can be folded forward to create a pleasant social area for eight persons.

Both Phantom Cabin model versions are powered by twin outboards that improve the boat's handling and reliability in demanding conditions. With twin 4.2-litre V6 Yamaha outboards, each rated at 300 hp, the boat can achieve a top speed of over 50 knots. Depending on conditions, the skipper can choose to cruise comfortably at speeds between 25 and 40+ knots. At cruising speeds of 25-27 knot, fuel consumption is at or even below 2 litres/nM regardless of engine configuration. Twin 400-litre fuel tanks also provide a long range.

New upholstery combines luxury and practicality

The most visible changes in the interior are the new materials used for the upholstery. Both the seat and wall upholstery are now dark grey, while the stylish stitching in the seats enhances the quality look and feel.

Improvements to practicality include new doors. The front door now has only one lockable handle, compared to the previous version which used two latches and a separate lock. Thanks to the new doorframe, the door still closes extremely tightly.

A separate WC is standard equipment on both the Phantom Cabin and Phantom Cabin Adventure model versions for 2021. The WC system includes pressurised water and an exhaust fan. Both the filling cap for the water tank and suction drain outlet for the septic tank can be found on the bow deck.

"The tanks are situated for optimal stability in the bilge area. The size of the water tank has been increased to supply ample water for both the panty and the WC," explains Kalle Kanerva, Manager, NPD.

Standard equipment on both versions of the new Phantom Cabin is extremely comprehensive and includes the 16" Buster Q smart display, Navionics electronic navigation charts, a heater, electro-hydraulic power steering, sonar, trim tabs, dual battery system and Yamaha Y-COP immobiliser system. Both model versions also feature a bow thruster tunnel, and a bow thruster is optionally available.

Also available as an option is the Yamaha Helm Master drive-by-wire system for the twin outboards. Yamaha Helm Master provides joystick control to facilitate manoeuvring in the marina, with electronics controlling the angle, power and gears of the outboards. For cruising, the system includes automatic engine synchronisation, cruise control and trim assist.

The pantry can be specified with a fridge and stove according to the customer's needs.
