The next stage in the UK in the easing of restrictions, and a tentative step towards getting back to some kind of normality.
So as good a time as any to talk about ISOLA, a project created in close collaboration with friends across the Channel - Azure Naval Architects in Haarlem, Holland.
The solitude of those months of isolation gave us both time to take a deep dive into the design. To take on that challenge of reconciling length and space within that all-too-familiar 500GT limit.
Think of her as an island for current times, carefully conceived. A counterpoint between the freedom of open exterior spaces and the sense of security and private wellbeing ISOLA offers behind her horizontally-louvered architecture.
Azure have made her ready for hybrid propulsion. They've been clever with hull shape and things that naval architects do, like developing efficient lines to optimize performance.
Bannenberg & Rowell have worked in an Owner's Cabin and five guest cabins. Spaces to be private and spaces to be with friends and family. A flush pool. Room to carry a 9m tender.
Life may feel like uncharted waters at the moment, but there is a future to see over that strangely clear horizon. ISOLA is ready to take you there.
