The team at Boats International are planning an exceptional line-up at SCIBS 2021, with two Island Gypsy coastal cruisers, the versatile Focus 33 and a newcomer to the market, the Finnish-made Saxdor 320 GTO.

Director, Brett Flanagan says they are "ready and raring to go", eager to meet with loyal clients and boaties at what is the first boat show on the calendar, and always successful for sales and quality leads.

"It feels great to be heading back to our home-town boat show," says Flanno, who prior to relocating to Gold Coast City Marina was based at Sanctuary Cove for over a decade.

On show will be the new twin-cabin Island Gypsy 40 and the twin-cabin Island Gypsy 460, alongside the new Focus 33 and sleek Saxdor 320 GTO, which will debut at SCIBS.

"Over the past eight weeks, we've sold five out of the six Island Gypsy models we have in build," states Flanno, adding that he has 10 boats on order in total, including the latest design, the IG 50.

"Two are on their way to Australia now and we will be receiving a boat a month after that. Demand has meant I have ordered another six 40s and we're excited to be welcoming the first Island Gypsy 50 to a long-time owner. It will arrive just in time for Christmas and is full to the gunwales with all the extras for long-range cruising."

The Island Gypsy 50 was sold sight-unseen to a previous client who owns one of the first models of the Island Gypsy 460.

"It's practically identical, but bigger," explains Flanno. "The owner loves everything about it, he just wanted a bigger engine - a QSM Cummins 660 hp diesel - gyro, watermaker, the works!

"He and his wife plan to cruise the east coast for six months. The Island Gypsy is stable, spacious, economical."

The reincarnation of the iconic Aussie brand, Island Gypsy motor yachts have really struck a chord with cruising couples.

The evocative old-school brand has been re-imagined with new styling, 5-star finishes and all the luxuries for a competitive price.

"They're beautiful, extremely comfortable. After building 100 boats over nine years, we've sorted out all the issues that arose on things that deteriorate over time and break down, such as plumbing. Our vessels are plumbed like a house with PVC piping so it lasts longer. All the plumbing is upgraded, including with Vaccuflush toilet systems, which equals less noise, less maintenance, less to break down.

"Boating should be low maintenance and pleasurable. With Island Gypsy, we have sought to minimise the cost of ownership and make boating a breeze."

The 32nd Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show starts Thursday 20 May and runs until Sunday 23 May. Flanno, Grant Flanagan, Paul Atallah, John Silsby, Carly Atallah and Brenda Flanagan will all be on hand to show people over their hand-crafted boats, and can arrange sea trials after the Show.

"After a year off, we're looking forward to seeing clients, friends, our industry colleagues. Sanctuary Cove is such a good show. The location is amazing, there's a fantastic atmosphere and people are always in a great mood. It's the boating hub, showcasing the coastal lifestyle and people respond to that."

The Island Gypsy 40 is priced from $599,000 and the IG 46 from $799,000.
