Larry and April Smith are not only avid boaters, but they are both dedicated Aquila 44 Yacht owners who generously share their boating tips with other Aquila owners navigating the Great Loop.
To say that the Smiths use their boat is an understatement. As owners of a 2018 Aquila 44 Power Catamaran, Larry and April (and their dog Abby) have lived aboard their boat for the past two half years racking up over 15,000 miles.
"We are always asked if we can do the Loop in a catamaran. The answer, of course, is YES!" exclaims the couple. "There's a huge misconception that the Loop can only be completed on a small trawler type vessel."
