Women play an essential role in the world of boating, and Aquila Power Catamarans wants to highlight these amazing women boaters with a new campaign, "Attracting Women Boaters- Two Hulls at a Time."
As the number of woman boaters steadily increases it is important to remember all the woman that have paved the way. Women in boating is not a new topic of discussion for the industry. Still, the pandemic was a big help in highlighting the significant presence of females in the marine industry.
In 2020 alone, the Aquila website had a 13% increase of female users with a 21% increase in pageviews. But in 2021, women seemed to consume the Aquila website, with a 290% increase in female users year over year and a 187% increase in pageviews. These numbers show no sign of stopping anytime soon.
Aquila highlights the importance of woman boaters for several reasons. Women influence household purchasing decisions for boats, the number of women in boating is growing, the plethora of Woman On Water (WOW) courses readily available at MarineMax dealerships, and the list goes on. These are just some of the many reasons why Aquila created their "Attracting Women Boaters -Two Hulls at a Time" campaign, helping to shift the focus solely from a heavily male-dominated community to spotlighting women as well.
Aquila recently spotlighted Meghan and Jacob Coyle, new owners of the Aquila 32 Sport Power Catamaran. They both grew up on the water, so they needed to continue the tradition with their three young daughters. They are delighted to see their daughter's passion for the water and boating lifestyle grow.
Meghan grew up sailing across the world (literally), so as an adult, it was imperative to boat independently. The ease to drive the Aquila 32 Sport, whether with her children or girlfriends, is one of the main reasons she choose the new Aquila 32 Sport. "They knew exactly what a family was looking for, and they put it in a boat, and we bought it," says Meghan. "Women enjoy boating and being on the water as much as anyone, and the ease of operation of the Aquila 32 Sport makes boating alone with children or girlfriends possible." Meghan credits the joystick piloting, the easy maneuverability, and the closed cockpit of the Aquila 32 Sport for being able to manage the boat all on her own.
The Aquila 32 Sport provides everything a family could need to enjoy the water to its full potential while providing ease for woman boaters to take over the helm themselves.
