Gozzi Mimì has chosen the Genoa Boat Show for the international debut of the new Libeccio 8.5 Walkaround, another step forward by the shipyard along its path of innovation in the gozzo sector.

Designed by Valerio Rivellini, the new model offers, for the first time in this type and size of boat, a separate bathroom and unprecedented on-board liveability thanks to the walkaround configuration. Also on display next to the new Libeccio 8.5 Wa will be six of the most requested models by the shipyard's customers.

The Genoa Boat Show, to be staged from 16 to 21 September, will be the setting for the world preview of the Libeccio 8.5 Walkaround, the new Gozzi Mimì model that once again stands out for its innovative clout and the desire to modernize a sector rich in ideas and increasingly at the centre of the interest of a growing number of boat owners. Together with the new Libeccio 8.5 Wa, Gozzi Mimì will be bringing eight other six models of the gozzi range to the Ligurian Boat Show the Libeccio 11 Walkaround, the Libeccio 9.5 Walkaround, the Libeccio 8.5 Sport, the Libeccio 8.5 Classic, Libeccio 7.5 and, in the end, the Libeccio 6.5 Center Consolle.

"Genoa is a not-to-be-missed appointment for all enthusiasts of the sector and certainly represents the ideal location for the presentation of the Libeccio 8.5 Walkaround, which we believe can encounter great success even in the hearts of those owners who have not yet approached this type of boat," said Domenico Senese, owner of Gozzi Mimì.

The Libeccio 8.5 Walkaround, designed by the Shipyard with the collaboration of Valerio Rivellini, features a number of the characteristics of the most recent and successful models by the Shipyard, presenting for the first time on a gozzo of this size a separate bathroom and a rigid fiberglass hard top. The idea that led to the introduction of this new element was to combine the winning features of the 8.5 Classic, which reflect the fascinating design of the Sorrento tradition of the '60s, with the same configuration of the 9.5 Walkaround, the livability of the external areas of which conveys a strong feeling of freedom on board.

The bow features a large sundeck while the stern cockpit is furnished with a C-shaped sofa that can be converted into a sunbathing or dining area. A small table provides the chance to organize outdoor dinners and aperitifs and below deck is a double cabin.

Gozzi Mimì will be at the Salone di Genova from 16th to 21st Settembre 2021 at Banchina A-Space HALL.0001

Libeccio 8.5 Walkaround

Libeccio 8.5 Walkaround is the latest model of Gozzi Mimì, which offers unprecedented liveability for this type and size of boat, thanks to the walkaround configuration and the decision to introduce a separate bathroom; something truly original for this type and size of boat. The design is by Valerio Rivellini.

The external spaces contemplate two sunbathing areas and the possibility of eating outdoors thanks to a large convertible sofa, while a double cabin makes it possible to sleep comfortably on board.

Thanks to a 250 hp engine, a top speed of 30 knots can be reached.

Libeccio 8.5 Walkaround, which will be presented in world preview at the Genoa Boat Show, has been designed with the collaboration of Valerio Rivellini Engineering & Design firm and has the same salient features as the Shipyard's most recent and innovative models.

Like the 8.5 Classic, in fact, the new boat on one hand deliberately recalls the fascinating Sorrento tradition of the 60s with a classic and refined design and, on the other, has the same configuration as the 9.5 Walkaround, with extensive external area liveability, thanks to a freedom of movement never seen before in a boat of this size. To further increase the level of comfort of the boat, a separate bathroom has also been designed; something totally new for this segment.

Domenico Senese, owner of the shipyard, commented: "We saw that the walkaround configuration was very successful on the larger models so we decided to also try it out on the 8.5, of which we had presented a refined Classic version, with a tiller steering system. We feel sure this model will win over many owners looking for a boat of this size in which to spend a lot of time in total comfort.

Libeccio 8.5 Walkaround therefore presents classic and clean lines and offers generous outdoor and convertible spaces according to the needs of the owner or the different moments of the day. At the bow a large sundeck has been designed, while at the stern a comfortable C-shaped sofa can be converted into a sunbathing or dining area.

The 8.5 Walkaround therefore appears as a classic gozzo which incorporates all the latest modern technology: it is equipped with an electric winch, courtesy lights and Plexiglas panels that form a backdrop to the steps leading to the bow sundeck. Below deck is a large double cabin, while a small mountable table is the ideal place to organize aperitifs or dinners under the stars.

The motorization is entrusted to a 195 to 250 hp Yanmar engine, which pushes the boat to a top speed of 30 knots.
