There were no races on the first day of the iQFOIL European Championships. The wind was between 3-7 kts and pretty inconsistent for most of the day.

As a result, the sailors and coaches remained on the ground waiting all day but without wasting their time.

Nicolas Huguet, trainer: "It's part of the game, everyone is used to it and you have to see the good sides too. During these long moments on land, we take the opportunity to discuss with the coaches of the different nations. See what other teams plan to do in the next few months and discuss common projects.

"These are also special times for young people to learn to interact with riders from other teams. It allows the great Windsurfing family to meet again, because after these long months disrupted by the health crisis it is important. This is a great opportunity to see everyone again, including some nations that have not been seen for a long time such as the Koreans, for example. Patience is also part of the exercise and finally all the runners were able to enjoy the famous Marseille summer after the Indian summer."

See you today, with the hope that the conditions will finally be right to start the first race of this championship.
