Seawanhaka Cup Invited Clubs announced

The Long Beach Yacht Club is pleased to announce the invited competitors for the Seawanhaka International Challenge Cup to be held May 31 to June 5, 2022. There were a large number of applicants, so the field will be very strong for this iteration of the Cup. In fact, we have a record number of invited teams - larger and more international than at any time since the late 1980's.

The global field of competitors stretches from Europe to North America to Oceania. Of course, those teams include Seawanhaka Corinthian Yacht club and the present holder of the Cup, Long Beach Yacht Club. Also competing is Minima Yacht Club on the River Thames just above London, which participated in the original event in 1895.

The Seawanhaka Cup is on display at Long Beach Yacht Club and there is a flurry of activity in preparation for this prestigious regatta. Make your plans now to come join us in June.
