With over two-dozen teams sailing the Fall Brawl J/70 Regatta, the level of competition was going to be remarkably high as it was one of the 2023 J/70 Worlds Championship qualifiers that will be taking place in St Petersburg, Florida.

Hosting the regatta over the October 29-30th weekend was Eastport Yacht Club.

In the end, it was not surprising that Laura Grondin's Dark Energy team won, she had all-stars like Taylor Canfield calling the shots tactically. Their 5-1-1-3 tally for 10 pts was just enough to seal the deal and be crowned the 2022 J/70 Fall Brawl Champions. Not giving them an inch was Chicagoan John Heaton's EMPEIRIA and his hot team that included Will Felder and Zeke Horowitz for speed and tactics, running up a 3-4-3-1 record for 11 pts. Rounding out the podium was Ed Lebens' REGGAE SHARK with a 4-2-4-5 scoreline for 15 pts.
