Onboard Internet is easy with hardware solutions that work on a variety of boats and the Wave WiFi team will be on deck in booth MB3206 at the Discover Boating Miami International Boat Show, February 15-19, to show how it's done.

Whether it is keeping complex integrated systems online, or simply a matter of providing better internet access in remote areas Wave WiFi has a hardware solution that will fit any size or type of boat.

Wave WiFi specializes in hardware solutions that keep boats online at greater distances.

For mid-sized vessels both sail and power, Rogue series units combine a wireless transceiver and antenna in one housing which is ideal for boats under fifty feet. Rogue Dual Band units use both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz allowing boaters to gain access to WiFi from further away but also at faster speeds when available.

The newest WiFi transceivers in the Wave line are the Freedom domes. They house a MIMO (Multiple Input Multiple Output) WiFi transceiver in a convenient 10.5"diameter dome. The Freedom LTE-A also has a built-in cellular transceiver with MIMO and Universal SIM slot for cellular connectivity. These domes can be mounted on any standard 1"-14 mount (not included) and are powered by a single detachable Cat5 PoE (Power over Ethernet) cable for easy installation. The domes work well on many types and sizes of vessels where an external dome antenna is preferred, bringing top tech topside.

Wave WiFi also has a variety of professional series products that maximize range, connectivity, and speed on larger recreational and commercial vessels. These dual band transceivers housed inside the vessel connect by low loss cables to high gain external antennas. The EC HP DB-AC uses MIMO to connect faster and transmit at maximum allowable power. Its highly sensitive transceivers increase range and speed. The flagship NMEA award winning Tidal Wave has a universal SIM slot for easy cellular connectivity.

Once internet is established onboard, Wave WiFi routers and Aps (Access Points) create a bubble of connectivity throughout the vessel. Dual Band YachtAPs can be mounted around the vessel to ensure propagation and connectivity which is important to keep integrated systems online. Vessels with RF limiting materials like Carbon Fiber, Steel and Aluminum have inherent internet propagation issues that can be circumvented with appropriate placement of Wave's onboard wireless routers and YachtAPs.

All Wave WiFi products have an easy to use Graphic User Interface (GUI) that makes it simple to identify and connect to favorite WiFi hot spots transparently by showing their name, signal strength, frequency, and encryption status. Built in electronic manuals help users and one click firmware updates keep systems current.
