Chicago Yacht Academy is the highest accredited Powerboating facility in the Midwest. Our complete US Powerboating curriculum provides in-classroom and on-the-water training that meets US Sailing standards and Exceeds National, State, and USCG standards.
We also offer International Competency Certification classes for those looking to charter in a foreign country, as well as private lessons and more.
Completion of our classes includes a Certification recognized by the insurance industry, which can lead to savings on premiums. These are not afternoon seminars run by enthusiasts. They are official, certified classes with an experienced, licensed, insured, and certified instructor with over 20 years of teaching experience, in the classroom and on the water, at the helm!
