Today was the fifth day of the ILCA 6 2024 Youth and Men's World Championships, a new stage of the final series took place in the City of Mar del Plata, in an event co-organized by the Yacht Club Argentino and the International Laser Class Association.

It was a very long and intense day with a north wind of approximately 10 to 12 knots and numerous shifts towards the northeast. Once the NNE wind was established, the two scheduled races for each division were sailed.

In the Youth Men's gold fleet, the leader remains Italian Antonio Pascali, who is now tied with Israeli Rem Pulci Magen. Both have 32 points. In third place, with 42 points, is also Israeli Omer Vered Vilenchik.

In the youth women's category, Italian Maria Vittoria Arseni continues to lead the overall standings with 20 points. She is followed by Irish Sienna Wright, who had a standout performance today by winning the first race of the day, now trailing the leader by just 5 points. Italian Ginevra Caracciolo drops one position and is now in third place.

In the Men's division, the top three positions from yesterday are maintained, with Argentine Francisco Renna remaining in the first position with 16 points. Juan Pablo Bisio follows with a 7-point difference. In third place, and very close to the second, is Brazilian Antonio Cavalcanti Rosa, just 1 point behind.

Tomorrow, southern winds are forecasted, making the conclusion of this world championship even more exciting.

All information about the event, as well as photos and videos, is available on the official event website and on the social media pages.
