2024 Newport Bermuda Race

Starting June 21

Palm Beach Motor Yachts is proud to announce our official sponsorship of the 2024 Newport Bermuda Race produced by the Bermuda Race Foundation.

This years race marks the 98th Anniversary for the collaboration between the Cruising Club of America and the Royal Bermuda Yacht Club, producers of the historic yacht race.

Palm Beach Motor Yachts sponsorship of the 2024 race goes deeper than just viewing the event from the starting line.

The Palm Beach Motor Yachts team and special guests will be stationed at the starting line off Ft. Adams onboard our flagship Palm Beach 70.

As the race commences, Palm Beach CEO and Chef Designer Mark Richards will then push the throttles forward and head out with the fleet to Bermuda.

Ocean racing is a huge passion of mine and I'm looking forward to navigating the complete course from Newport to Bermuda at the helm of our beautiful Palm Beach 70, demonstrating our ocean going capabilities and amazing fuel efficiency.

The Australian is a champion ocean racer who holds a record nine line-honor victories for the prestigious 628-nautical-mile Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race, skippering the Super Maxi Wild Oats XI. He also has a list of accolades spanning two and half decades, skippering the Wild Oats team to multiple victories in his extensive Australian offshore ocean racing career. Other noteworthy highlights include two Americas Cup campaigns and an Admirals Cup victory.

Mark Richards passion for sailing, competition, and ocean racing fuels the companys desire to support these events, the organizers, and sailors through select sponsorships and participation around the globe. Mark Richards goal when he founded Palm Beach Motor Yachts in 1995 in Palm Beach on Sydneys Northern Beaches, was to build a yachtsmans powerboat. Drawing from his experience as an elite ocean-racing champion and a qualified shipwright led him

to design and develop the true yachtsmans powerboat which is known today as Palm Beach Motor Yachts.
