MCP Yachts is proud to announce the successful sea trial of M/Y Hygge. Demonstrating exceptional performance, the yacht surpassed its contractual speed of 20 knots, achieving an impressive top speed of 22.2 knots with the owner at the helm.
The owner expressed his amazement at the vessel's silent operation and was pleasantly surprised by the strength of the wind generated by the unusually high speed for a yacht of this size, a feat made possible by MCP's aluminum construction.
"I would never have imagined such a sensation when I stepped from the wheelhouse onto the side deck. The yacht was sailing at such an impressive speed, and yet maintained high stability with no noise inside the boat", the owner commented.
The sea trial was a visual spectacle in Santos Bay, showcasing the exceptional capabilities of M/Y Hygge.
MCP Yachts and Vripack unveil their latest project
A new era of transoceanic aluminum superyachts, fully certified and internationally classified, customized, developed, and built side by side with the dreams of their owners. The perfect timing for the continuation of a successful partnership between MCP Yachts' design team and the renowned Dutch design studio Vripack.
The 40-meter Seaview is our newest project under construction. Equipped with two powerful Caterpillar C32 engines of 1,925 MHP each, with a high-performance semi-displacement hull and shaft lines encapsulated in an oil bath, this superyacht provides silent and smooth sailing and reaches a maximum speed of up to 19 knots, with a long cruising range of up to 3,500 nautical miles at sailing speeds of around 10 knots, consuming only 150 liters of diesel oil per hour. A versatile and conscientious yacht, designed to guarantee comfort, stability, and safety at all speeds.
The MCP 40.7M offers fantastic interior and exterior spaces for all members of the family. A total of seven cabins, including the impressive owner's suite, situated on the upper deck with panoramic sea views.
Exterior
The level of privacy on board is a major distinguishing feature of this project. All the rooms are accessed and served by the crew via independent staircases and corridors.
"Providing maximum use of space on this 40-meter yacht required a differentiated approach through innovative solutions and ideas that kept our team motivated throughout the creative process," says Bart Bouwhuis, creative director at Vripack. "A very energetic co-creation process between the Owner, MCP, and the Vripack team, which led to a clever, innovative, and unconventional layout, which in the end proved to be perfectly sensible and functional. A great achievement for all of us."
Interior
Six VIP rooms with wide sea views are located on the lower and upper decks, guaranteeing privacy for the family and their guests through a revolutionary layout, where service accesses for the crew are discreet and separated from the social areas.
A lounge on the upper deck, called the Sky Lounge, is a spectacle, where the view of the sea has been privileged by large windows thrown out of the yacht's superstructure, projecting the spectator to a unique and privileged vantage point.
A 40M yacht that prioritizes comfort through ample leisure and social spaces and offers the most beautiful views of the sea, Seaview motivates our team by revolutionizing the superyacht market in Brazil and worldwide.
"A modern and timeless design, which conveys the elegance and greatness of a genuine MCP Yachts transoceanic yacht; and which both allows audacious voyages to the most remote points of the planet, promoting unparalleled comfort on relaxing family cruises along the coast." - Damien Chaves, CEO MCP Yachts.
