Medway Regatta 2024 at Wilsonian Sailing Club

by Steve James 18 Aug 02:44 PDT 6-7 July 2024

Medway's flagship dinghy regatta was back in July. 42 boats from 13 clubs turned up on Saturday to gale force winds and a postponement of the first race.

Undeterred intrepid crews raced in the afternoon and with calmer conditions on Sunday, most boats took part in close fought handicap racing. A particular mention for the Miracle fleet and the juniors.

Competitors enjoyed an excellent free meal on Saturday and were entertained by a sea shanty all women singing group the Silver Darlings courtesy of our sponsors MTS Cleansing Services. Friends and relations enjoyed a really good social evening.

Competitors and guests were delighted the regatta had returned and looked forward to coming back in 2025.
