The Vendée Globe will kick off from Les Sables d'Olonne on November 10th, with 40 skippers embarking on this solo, non-stop, and unassisted circumnavigation.

As with every major sailing event, sailing and gaming enthusiasts will have the opportunity to virtually compete against the sailors and other eSkippers on Virtual Regatta Offshore, the Official Supplier of the Vendée Globe. It's a unique chance to join the race while staying dry. Registrations for the Virtual Vendée Globe are open today!

The 2024/25 edition of the Vendée Globe promises to be an exceptional one both at sea and on land, thanks to the Virtual Vendée Globe offered by Virtual Regatta Offshore. Once again, "hundreds of thousands of players" are expected to join the virtual race, according to Tom Gauthier, Deputy General Manager of Virtual Regatta, who is delighted that Virtual Regatta Offshore is once again the Official Supplier of the Vendée Globe. This means players "can participate in one of the most prestigious sailing races in the world, compete against skippers and their peers on the same course as the Vendée Globe, and experience the closest thing to reality with many features like energy and fatigue management." As with every race, paid options will also be available to players to optimize their performance.

Private races to help companies engage their communities

As with every major race, Virtual Regatta will offer private races to companies, whether they are partners of the event, a specific boat, or not. This year, about forty companies have already signed up. "Private races are an excellent opportunity for companies to engage their employees, as well as partners, clients, and prospects, by giving them the chance to participate in the Virtual Vendée Globe in a branded environment. It's both an incredible internal and external activation tool," says Tom Gauthier. Companies that subscribe to a private race benefit from a customized boat and background, along with a specific ranking in addition to the public leaderboard.

A Media Race to compete against other journalists

Journalists will not be left out. Building on the success of the previous two editions, Virtual Regatta has decided to once again offer a Media Race exclusively for French and international journalists. Participants will receive a Full Pack with all game options, as well as a specific ranking.
