Sailing enthusiasts and young competitors are gearing up for an exciting new addition to the Fireball sailing calendar—the Inaugural Fireball Australian Youth Championships. Set to take place over Easter 2025 on the friendly environment of Lake Bullen Merri in Victoria, this event promises fun competition and a celebration of emerging sailing talent in Australia.

This regatta is open to all Fireball sailors, but to claim the prestigious youth trophy, at least one crew member must be under 26 years old. The event not only provides an opportunity for young sailors to showcase their skills but also strengthens the future of Fireball sailing in Australia. With the picturesque volcanic crater lake providing ideal sailing conditions, competitors and spectators alike can expect a fantastic experience on and off the water. Check out all the details and all the information here.

The Fireball class continues to gain momentum in Australia, as evidenced by a packed racing calendar. Preceding the Easter regatta, the 2025 Australian Fireball Championships will be held in February on the breathtaking waters of Eden, NSW. More details on this event can be found at Fireball International.

Adding to the excitement, the Fireball World Championships will take place at the iconic Lake Garda in Italy (2025.fireballworlds.com). Australia is set to send its largest-ever team to a European World Championship, a testament to the growing strength and enthusiasm within the Australian Fireball community.

With the youth regatta at Bullen Merri serving as a launchpad for young talent, and the national and international events showcasing Australia's best, the Fireball class is clearly on the rise. Don't miss your chance to be part of this historic event and support the next generation of Fireball champions!
