TowBoatUS Lake Texoma, a local on-water towing and assistance company for recreational boaters, was awarded Tower of the Year at the annual gathering of the TowBoatUS fleet owners, family and crew in Las Vegas in late January. Owned by captains Michael Tucker and Chris Gumm, TowBoatUS Lake Texoma was chosen as the top TowBoatUS business in 2024 out of more than 130 independently owned TowBoatUS towing companies across the nation.

The company provides 24/7 towing, soft ungroundings, battery jumps and fuel drop-offs to Lake Texoma boaters on the Texas-Oklahoma border and is part of a network of than 300 TowBoatUS locations across the U.S. and in British Columbia, Canada.

"The captains and staff at TowBoatUS Lake Texoma always goes above and beyond," said Towing Services Manager Chris Dolan. "Their professionalism is top-notch. They put a big emphasis on preparedness by not only having a rigorous schedule of staff training for all team members but also partnering with local first responders to complete joint training exercises. They aren't just an on-water service provider; they are leaders in their community."

Among other data, the Tower of the Year award considers a local TowBoatUS company's BoatUS Unlimited Towing Membership sales, on-water digital dispatch response rate and service ratings from customer surveys. TowBoatUS Lake Texoma captains received an incredible 100% "excellent" feedback rating from boaters who were provided routine assistance last year. The business has six red on-water response vessels.

"No matter which metric we reviewed - customer surveys, sales, efficiency or responsiveness - this company was at the top in every category," added Dolan.

Last year, the entire North America TowBoatUS fleet of more than 600 towboats responded to more than 100,000 on-water requests for routine assistance. For more information go to www.TowBoatUS.com/Towing.
