Horizon Power Catamarans will take center stage at the 2025 Palm Beach International Boat Show with the world premiere of the first PC60 to feature a Portuguese Deck configuration.
The builder will enjoy a premium show position this year, with a dockside showcase located at Dock HPCDU, slips 288 and 289.
Debuting the first Portuguese Deck layout, Hull 32, the latest in the wildly successful multihull PC60 model, adheres to the gilded rule of the outdoor lifestyle: maximized exterior deck space. This innovative Portuguese Deck design extends the exterior space offered on the yacht's topmost deck with a centerline passage that leads through a hydraulic door from the flybridge to the foredeck, which is configured with twin built-in settees and hi/lo tables for convertible dining and lounging.
In fact, the deck areas aboard the PC60 are the most sought-after feature of this "mid-size" model in the PC Series range, which spans from the PC52 to the PC68. The PC60 on display features walk around side decks that lead from the spacious aft deck to the foredeck and to steps leading up to the Portuguese Deck. Aft of the flybridge, the boat deck offers additional space for lounging and entertaining when the tender is deployed.
The PC60 is a four-stateroom yacht, and the model on display has been designed with the optional on-deck master stateroom configuration with three additional cabins in the hulls. The starboard hull houses an ensuite queen and twin cabin while the master ensuite with dual wash basins and a convertible twin ensuite cabin are positioned in the port hull.
The PC60 interior is a showcase of the variety of soft goods, wood, stonework, and finishes that owners can specify for their semi-custom power catamaran build, with the assistance of The Powercat Company's own in-house design team. The main salon is accessed from an expansive aft deck, which is fitted with a built-in settee and a generous dining table. The aforementioned on-deck master stateroom is situated furthest forward on the main deck, and the inviting salon offers a large, L-shaped sofa and a spacious galley and bar area, creating a perfect atmosphere for relaxation and entertainment.
Protected from the elements, the semi-enclosed flybridge above houses a large settee with a dinette just aft of the helm area. Several configuration options are offered for this space, but the new Portuguese Deck layout sees the two helm chairs and nav station situated to port and a passenger settee to starboard to allow for the centerline pass-through. This space can be open or enclosed for maximum versatility and includes a dayhead.
The PC60 will also showcase Horizon's Silent Living package, which is now standard on all new PC builds. Coupled with Victron's advanced phosphate battery package, the Termodinamica variable speed air conditioning system keeps the interior cool and comfortable for nearly 20 hours on battery power alone.
"We are thrilled to unveil the first PC60 with the Portuguese Deck configuration at the 2025 Palm Beach International Boat Show," says Richard Ford, founder and CEO of The Powercat Company. "This layout has been incredibly well received on our PC68 model, and bringing it to our highly popular PC60 further enhances the advantages of this model."
