Columbus Yachts announces the launch of the new Crossover 42 named M/Y Big Naan. The joyful ceremony took place at the Savona shipyard in the presence of her Owners, their guests and local authorities. It was a moment of great emotion for the entire shipyard which, in addition to the Crossover 42, currently has under construction a Columbus Atlantique 37, a Columbus Crossover 47 scheduled for delivery in 2027, and two hulls and superstructures of the ISA Gran Turismo 45 Alloy, which will then be completed at the Ancona facility.

The American customer was introduced by Zarpo Yachts, while Trevor van Wyk is the Owner's representative and supervised the construction.

Columbus Crossover 42 boasts exterior lines designed by Hydro Tec studio, while the interiors were designed by Hot Lab. The exterior lines come in a modern and muscular package, with a predominance of straight and angled surfaces and a concentration of volumes in the bow area, typical of explorers. The hull is displacement, with a bulbous bow and flat, tapered stern sections. The construction is in steel with aluminum superstructures.

Crossover 42 is a superyacht with compact but extremely flexible dimensions allowing the cockpit to accommodate not only a large tender with a stern built-in crane in the starboard side, but also a 17 sqm swimming pool with convivial and relaxation areas.

Situated on the lower deck, the beach club can be accessed via a hydraulic door located to the right of the aft bathing area. Here, natural light floods the space through the large side windows and the scenic glass pool, creating a bright and refined atmosphere.

Columbus Crossover 42 can accommodate up to 11 guests across 4 cabins positioned below deck (3 VIP and 1 double convertible into triple thanks to a pullman bed) and a full-beam master cabin on the main deck, with central bed, wardrobe, office desk, vanity area and bathroom with two separate areas, one of which has a spacious shower.

A crew of 9 is accommodated across 4 double cabins below deck while the captain cabin is on the upper deck next to the wheelhouse.

The propulsion system includes two Caterpillar C32 ACERT of 742 kW each, allowing to reach a maximum speed of over 14 knots and a cruising speed of 12 knots. The range is over 5,500 miles at the economical speed of 10 knots thanks to tanks of about 60 m² capacity.

Aboard two watermakers, of approximately 8.6 m²/day, feed the fresh water tanks with total capacity of 10 m².

Comfort during navigation and at anchor is guaranteed by two pairs of stabilizers that operate both under way and at zero speed.
