WASZP Class EuroCup 2026

by WASZP Class 7 Dec 2025 02:28 PST

WASZP announces the EuroCup calendar for 2026! European sailors - have your diaries at the ready. The series consists of eight events across the season, with four events needed to qualify for the overall EuroCup ranking.

The series kicks off in Lanveoc in Brittany, France as part of the prestigious Grand Prix de l’École Navale. A strong French fleet will combine with the perfect foiling waters of the Rade de Brest for a spectacular launch of the 2026 European internationals.

From France, the series heads north to the German town of Flensburg, just south of the Danish border. Leg two also forms the annual German championship and is guaranteed to attract foilers from across northern Europe and Scandinavia.

Foiling Week needs no introduction. The third and largest event of the series has historically sold out the entry, and 2026 will be no different. Garda in the summer...what is not to love?

Leg four heads back uphill to Lomma, Sweden. The Swedish WASZP fleet has been the fastest growing fleet in the world over the past two years and is on track to become a powerhouse of WASZP sailing. The Scandinavians are famously skilled and competitive across the men's and women's divisions, so Lomma promises to be a very hotly contested championship!

What is better than going to Garda in summer? How about going twice? This time, the EuroCup heads across the lake to Univela in Campione. With world-class facilities and a spectacular location beneath the cliffs, Campione will mark an unforgettable event experience. Looking to get even more time on the water at the wind factory? An international training camp is scheduled in the week leading up to the EuroCup, which welcomes teams from all over the world for an exciting and collaborative training effort.

Staying in Italy but moving to the coast, the sixth leg of the series heads to Imperia. Imperia is the training base of the Drylaps training group, which has collected more championship titles in the WASZP fleet than any other organisation. With a famously hospitable yacht club, wonderful seaside town and high calibre of competitors, Imperia cannot be missed!

As winter begins to set in, the EuroCup begins its journey south. The penultimate leg of the series heads back to France, but this time on the mediterranean in the town of Bandol. Bandol has become a staple of the French calendar and in 2026, the EuroCup combines with the French Championship. Expect a huge turn-out with a star-studded line-up.

The final event of the EuroCup continues the tradition of heading south to sunny Spain for December. The venue and location will be confirmed shortly. One thing that is guaranteed is the Spanish fleet will be on fire, so there is no better place to wrap up the season!
