Beneteau unveils the new Swift Trawler 43: the evolution of the modern passagemaker
by Beneteau Group 2 Sep 03:12 PDT
Following the recent renewal of the range with the introduction of the Swift Trawler 37, BENETEAU now continues this evolution with the launch of the Swift Trawler 43.
Entirely new from the ground up, the model remains faithful to the DNA that has defined the range for more than two decades while embracing a more contemporary design language, enhanced technologies and an even richer onboard living experience.
"The Swift Trawler 43 represents the natural evolution of more than twenty years of expertise behind the range." says Eric LeVine, BENETEAU Motor Yacht Director. "We have preserved everything owners have always appreciated: comfort, autonomy, safety and exceptional livability while introducing a contemporary design language that meets the expectations of an increasingly discerning and diverse audience."
The Swift Trawler 43 has been designed around one simple principle: evolve without losing her identity.
Comfort, outstanding livability, excellent seaworthiness and long-range cruising capability remain the cornerstones of the Swift Trawler philosophy. Building on these solid foundations, BENETEAU introduces a new interpretation of the modern passagemaker, combining stronger styling, greater technological integration and an even higher level of refinement in materials, ergonomics and perceived quality.
Penned by Dixon Yacht Design, the exterior perfectly embodies this philosophy with a bold contemporary character, designed not only to appeal to loyal Swift Trawler owners but also to attract clients traditionally drawn to motor yachts. Alongside its new styling comes a fresh interpretation of "quiet luxury": sophisticated yet understated interiors, premium finishes and thoughtfully integrated technologies that enhance everyday life on board, making every cruise more intuitive, relaxing and enjoyable.
Two configurations, one cruising philosophy
The new Swift Trawler 43 will be available in the Sedan version and the Flybridge configuration. Two distinct ways of experiencing the same cruising philosophy, both developed to maximize versatility without compromising the seaworthiness and practicality that have made the Swift Trawler range so successful.
Sedan: a new vision of freedom
The Sedan introduces one of the most innovative features of the entire project: a generous multifunctional roof terrace offering more than 10 square metres of usable space, easily accessed via the integrated cockpit ladder, a unique solution compared with competing sedan models.
Designed around the concept of an Active Lifestyle, this area can accommodate up to 200 kg of equipment, providing the ideal space for bicycles, paddleboards, kayaks and a wide variety of watersports gear. Multiple tie-down points, a waterproof power socket and carefully considered ergonomics make loading and securing equipment remarkably easy, allowing owners to fully embrace an active lifestyle on the water.
The same space can also be transformed into a private rooftop lounge through the Relax Lifestyle package, featuring a teak deck, sunshade supported by carbon poles and optional outdoor furniture. The concept gives owners complete freedom to personalise the space according to the way they enjoy life on board. The Sedan configuration can also be specified with electric skylights above the forward cabin or, alternatively, the Silent Boat package featuring integrated solar panels.
Flybridge: sociability, comfort and functionality
For owners who enjoy cruising from an elevated position, the optional Flybridge takes outdoor living to the next level.
The completely redesigned layout features a generous portside U-shaped seating area accommodating up to six guests, with an innovative adjustable backrest allowing three or four passengers to face forward while
underway. A vis-à-vis seating arrangement, complete with a sliding two-seat bench, electrically adjustable table and sunpad conversion, comfortably accommodates up to seven people, creating an inviting social space for relaxing or entertaining. On port side, an elegant wet bar incorporates a barbecue, ice maker and refrigerator, while the starboard helm provides outstanding visibility during navigation and exceptional control when stern-to docking thanks to its clear view over the bathing platform. A forward-folding bimini with integrated LED lighting, a neatly stowed foredeck sun awning, dedicated kayak and paddleboard storage, and the optional Silent Boat solar package further enhance a flybridge designed for extended outdoor living.
As expected from a Swift Trawler, all the practical features owners appreciate remain firmly in place, including the wide and secure starboard side deck, the helm side door, the bulwark gate with midship cleat for effortless docking, and an overall ergonomic layout designed to maximize safety in every situation.
Interiors designed around life on board
The interior of the Swift Trawler 43 perfectly reflects the philosophy of the range, offering bright, practical and adaptable living spaces designed for extended cruising.
Inside the saloon, the raised portside U-shaped dinette quickly converts into an additional double berth with its dedicated privacy curtain. The one-piece windscreen, generous glazing and opening windows flood the interior with natural light, while a useful underfloor storage compartment further increases onboard stowage capacity. The completely redesigned galley features a three-burner hob with oven, an extended work surface, generous drawers and overhead lockers, a large stainless-steel sink, an easily accessible waste bin and a spacious 176-litre fridge-freezer complemented by additional storage compartments.
The helm station has also been comprehensively redesigned with ergonomics in mind. A twin companion helm seat with pull-out step and practical storage ensures outstanding comfort on longer passages. Optional features include a rotating pilot bench with electrically operated table and a 43-inch pop-up rotating television that transforms the saloon into an elegant entertainment space.
Accommodation designed for extended cruising
The forward owner's cabin offers generous double-door wardrobes, substantial under-bed storage and a private en-suite bathroom featuring a separate shower compartment with integrated seat.
The port guest cabin can be configured with either twin berths or a generous double berth thanks to the infill cushion, while a convenient door provides direct access to the day head.
Another standout feature is the redesigned starboard utility cabin. This versatile space can accommodate either a washer-dryer or an additional 75-litre drawer refrigerator/freezer or a 23-bottle wine cooler, significantly extending refrigerated storage capacity for longer cruises.
The overall ambience can be further elevated with the optional Pack Luxe, available with either teak or oak joinery, creating a refined atmosphere more commonly associated with larger premium motor yachts.
Technology serving the cruising experience
The Swift Trawler 43 integrates a wide range of technologies designed to make cruising simpler, safer and even more enjoyable.
Highlights include provision for twin 16-inch multifunction displays at both helm stations, a Yanmar joystick with proportional thrusters, the Seakeeper stabilisation option, electric skylights, the Silent Boat solar package, a fold-down radar mast designed to reduce air draft when passing beneath bridges, and numerous intelligent solutions that optimise onboard space, comfort and energy management.
Every feature has been developed with one objective in mind: making ownership easier while enhancing comfort, autonomy and the pleasure of cruising.
A new benchmark for the market
With the Swift Trawler 43, BENETEAU continues the evolution of one of the most respected cruising ranges in the boating industry, preserving the qualities that have made it so successful while reinterpreting them to meet the expectations of today's market.
The result is a boat capable of delighting long-standing Swift Trawler enthusiasts while attracting an entirely new audience of motor yacht owners seeking a compelling alternative in the 13-metre segment, one that combines contemporary elegance, intelligent functionality, long-range capability and genuine cruising pleasure.
The Swift Trawler 43 will make her World Premiere at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2026 marking an exciting new chapter in the history of the Swift Trawler range.
