Sunreef Ultima 88 Wasabi makes her world premiere at Cannes Yachting Festival
Sunreef Yachts presented the Sunreef ULTIMA 88 Wasabi at the Cannes Yachting Festival, giving visitors the opportunity to experience a new interpretation of performance luxury at sea.
The latest addition to the ULTIMA range, the Sunreef ULTIMA 88 brings together dynamic performance, generous living space and refined comfort in a sleek multihull platform. Designed around the way people experience life on the water, she combines the agility of a monohull with the stability, space and shallow draft of a catamaran.
Her aerodynamic profile and optimized hull geometry are designed to enhance performance and efficiency, while ensuring smooth maneuverability and easy access to marinas and secluded anchorages. The yacht is available with high-performance power propulsion or an advanced hybrid configuration, enabling quiet electric cruising.
At anchor, the ULTIMA 88 transforms the relationship between yacht and sea. Expansive opening bulwarks and a vast aft platform create a walkaround Ocean Lounge, bringing guests closer to the water and creating a natural setting for relaxation, socializing and time spent outdoors. Inside, generous living areas and a full-beam master suite create a calm, contemporary environment shaped around comfort and connection.
A distinctive feature of Wasabi is her dedicated sushi chef's counter, also known as an omakase table. Set within the main living area, it creates an intimate culinary experience where guests can enjoy freshly prepared sushi while watching the chef at work. More than a dining space, it brings together craftsmanship, conviviality and a direct connection between the art of sushi-making and life on board.
The ULTIMA 88 also reflects Sunreef Yachts' approach to purposeful innovation. Ultra-light solar panels and advanced energy solutions are among the technologies available to further enhance the yacht's efficiency and performance.
With every element designed to serve the experience, the ULTIMA 88 embodies Sunreef's philosophy of Life in Full: where innovation serves experience, design serves life and craftsmanship brings every detail together.

Sunreef introduces Sunreef Wetra: a new era of intelligent yacht management
One yacht. One intelligent ecosystem. Navigation, comfort, safety, energy, connectivity and preventive maintenance brought together in a single Sunreef-developed platform.
Sunreef introduces Sunreef WETRA a new generation of intelligent yacht management ecosystem designed to make increasingly sophisticated yachts simpler to operate, understand and maintain.
Developed by Sunreef's engineering team, Sunreef WETRA connects the yacht's essential systems within one intelligent environment, accessible from the helm, onboard interfaces and mobile devices. The ambition is not to add another layer of technology, but to make technology increasingly invisible, reducing repetitive tasks, simplifying operation and giving owners and crews the right information at the right moment.
"The best technology is the technology you almost forget is there. With Sunreef WETRA, our goal is to make the yacht easier to understand, easier to operate and ultimately more enjoyable to experience." said Francis Lapp, Founder & President of Sunreef.
One intelligent helm
At the center of Sunreef WETRA is a fully configurable ultrawide helm interface, replacing multiple independent screens, gauges and control panels with one coherent digital environment. Navigation, propulsion, tank levels, electrical systems, weather, alarms and cameras can be organized according to the situation.
Sunreef WETRA can prioritize the information that matters depending on whether the yacht is cruising, maneuvering, docking or at anchor.
Comfort that adapts to life on board
Sunreef WETRA integrates HVAC, lighting and entertainment into one environment accessible through onboard touchscreens, tablets and smartphones, with voice control available for selected functions.
Using occupancy, time of day and user preferences, the system can automatically adapt selected comfort settings while keeping crew in full control.
Smarter energy management
Beyond monitoring, Sunreef WETRA system can support automated load management and generator operation according to actual demand. Energy forecasting can estimate battery autonomy and future requirements, helping crews optimize energy use and potentially reduce unnecessary generator running time.
Safety and preventive maintenance
Sunreef WETRA centralizes alarms, navigation information and critical technical data, allowing important information to be identified and prioritized quickly.
More importantly, the platform is being developed to move yacht management from simply reacting to alarms toward condition-based and preventive maintenance.
By continuously analyzing parameters such as temperature, voltage, current, pressure, operating hours and equipment cycles, Sunreef WETRA can identify abnormal behavior and developing trends before conventional alarm thresholds are reached.
With secure connectivity and appropriate permissions, selected technical data can also be accessed remotely by Sunreef's service specialists, helping crews diagnose issues and allowing technicians to arrive better prepared with the right knowledge, equipment and potentially required parts.
"The objective is to give the captain and crew better, more timely information, increasingly anticipating potential issues before they develop."
Your yacht, wherever you are
Sunreef WETRA extends beyond the yacht through the Sunreef mobile app, available for iOS and Android.
Authorized owners and crew can remotely check energy and battery status, monitor connected systems, receive notifications and prepare selected functions before arriving on board.
The same ecosystem extends across the helm, onboard touchscreens, tablets and smartphones, creating one consistent digital experience with secure access adapted to each user.
Designed to evolve
Sunreef WETRA is designed as an evolving platform capable of integrating new equipment, sensors and automation technologies. Artificial intelligence will play a growing role in analyzing operational data, detecting anomalies, forecasting energy requirements and adapting selected functions to how the yacht is used.
But AI is a tool, not the product. Every technology integrated into Sunreef WETRA has one purpose: to make the yacht simpler, safer, more efficient and easier to maintain.
