President Trump announced the "Restoring America's Saltwater Angling and Recreation" Executive Order in the White House Rose Garden, which establishes a national policy to elevate marine recreational fishing in federal fisheries management and directs federal agencies to pursue better data and more modern management approaches, strengthen State-Federal partnerships, remove unnecessary barriers to access and advance innovative solutions.
The National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) joined the Congressional Boating Caucus on September 17 for a Capitol Hill briefing highlighting how American marine manufacturers are using new technology to make boating safer, smarter, more efficient, and more sustainable. The briefing, American Innovation on the Water, brought together congressional staff and leaders from Yamaha U.S. Marine Business Unit, Brunswick Corporation, the National Marine Electronics Association (NMEA), and Polaris.
The NMMA, alongside the International Council of Marine Industry Associations (ICOMIA) and the European Boating Industry (EBI), launched a global industry questionnaire to assess the recreational marine sector's readiness to adopt a harmonised Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) methodology. The survey forms a key part of the organizations' joint initiative to develop the first globally aligned environmental assessment framework for recreational boats launched last year.

New Beneteau First 36 Spirit unveiled. Something profound happens when everything unnecessary falls away. You start to feel the balance under sail. The response at the helm. The logic of a deck where every detail has a reason to be there. With time, movements become instinctive, the boat becomes familiar and begins to feel less like something to master and more like an extension of your own senses. This is what true sailors have always understood: the essence of sailing is not about having more, but about feeling more.
