Accon Marine's lifting eyes create boat-moving options

Boats can be hoisted out of the water or off a trailer using properly-sized lifting eyes. They provide an owner flexibility in how the boat is stored and moved, and create an additional tie-down point when towing. Accon Marine offers a line of Lifting Eyes rated up to 5,443kg that conveniently fold flush to the deck when not in use.

Accon Marine's durable Lifting Eyes are manufactured from stainless steel: series 316 for the eye and base, and 304 for the lifting eye. The slings are solid castings for increased strength and safety. The fittings are connected inside the hull to a structural member or piece of hardware, such as a bow eye, using threaded rod for added strength.

The compact Oval Lifting Eye is only 108mm L x 66mm W and sits flush against the deck. Raised, the 44mm W x 48mm H eye has a maximum working load of 1,814kg. It can be drained or sealed. The hub pivots to overcome misalignment for easy installation, using four #10 screws.

Accon Marine's Round Lifting Eye is 89mm round and mounts flush to the deck with four #10 screws. Its eye accommodates up to 25mm line. It also has a maximum working load of 1,814kg.

For serious loads, the Extra Large Round Lifting Eye is hard to beat. With grade eight bolts, it's rated for 12,000 lbs. and has an actual failure figure of 16,329kg. It's 124mm round, requires an 82mm hole and fastens with four 6mm screws.
