The RS200 Northern Tour are pleased to announce that RS sailing have agreed to act as title sponsor for the RS200 Northern Tour series.

RS Sailing have made the following statement:

"RS Sailing are delighted to be able to support the RS200 Northern Series this year, providing a selection of prizes like kit bags and even a brand new race jib! The RS200 has a huge following worldwide and is raced passionately by hundreds of keen sailors making the competition at Opens an amazing experience, and we can't wait to be part of it! Such friendly, yet tough racing is regularly had in the Northern Series and we are looking forward to being able to watch the excitement unfold!"

We would also like to thank the following subsidiary sponsors for their additional support: Lennon Racewear, Mike Saul Dinghy Services, Rope4Boats and Wildwind Sailing Holidays.

The RS200 Northern Tour consists of eight open meetings in the North and Midlands and is undergoing a significant resurgence with an average attendance of 19 boats at the events held so far for this season. The demographic mix is very varied with an active teenage base, but with many of the regular travellers being in their mid-fifties.

This is a friendly and very relaxed series, so if you sail an RS200 in the North or Midlands come and enjoy a change of scenery and come and dip your toe in the water at one of the remaining events this year:

  • Coniston (6th/7th August)
  • Ullswater (10th/11th September)
  • Leigh & Lowton (24th September)
  • Budworth (8th October)

The prize giving will be held at Budworth on Saturday, 8th October, so please make every effort to attend.
