North Sails have very kindly agreed to sponsor the OK Dinghy Travellers' Series again this year and to this end it has been decided to incorporate the sponsorship prize into the series in a novel way.

The series will incorporate all ten UK events and will use the 'Low Point' scoring system. Hopefully this will mean that the series stays alive throughout the year from the first event at South Staffs in February all the way through until the last event at Northampton in November. The class is heavily indebted to North Sails once again for providing the main prize of a voucher for 50% off a new OK mainsail.

The class is delighted to be returning to some well-known venues such as Burghfield, Blithfield and Bristol in the early part of the season before the mid season favourites of Upper Thames and Overy Staithe. Filey, possibly a venue that many of us have not been to before, has been chosen as the venue for the Northern Championships. The National Championships is expected to attract a large entry given the great venue and lovely scenery of Brixham. It is a venue that will surely appeal to all ages and especially families. Accommodation close to the event is likely to busy, if comments on various social media sites are to believed, so the advice is to get your booking in early. The bandwagon then rolls on to the ever popular event at Brightlingsea before concluding with the fireworks on Pitsford water.

Prizes for the sailing series will be awarded after taking one discard after a competitor has completed seven events and will go down to 10th place.

The North Sails discount voucher will, as was the case last year, be the main prize in a draw to be held after the last event of the season. A minimum number of 6 events must be completed and this must include the British National Championships. One draw entry voucher will be awarded to each sailor for each North Sails Travellers series event completed with two vouchers being awarded for competitors at the Nationals.
