What was your most spectacular capsize?

Capsize, wipe out, broach, pitchpole, going down the mine... call it what you will, these moments of unexpected wetness can usually make us smile afterwards. It would be great to share any of these unintended antics which were caught on camera. We all need a smile this month!

YachtsandYachting.com would love you to send us your best (worst?) photos, to share with the world. We want to remind everyone of the fun that our sport can bring. You can see two prime examples of amusing scenes on this page, but your own contribution would be very welcome, particularly if you can tell us a little about the event you were at and the situation leading up to the moment of drama.

We do need to know the photographers name, and check that they give permission for the image to be published in this manner. Please send us the largest file you can.

It may be that you've already seen your photo on our website in the past. Check our photo archive using the search features, and hunt it down. Click on the photo to open it up full size, and then you can then send us the direct link (which will look something like www.yachtsandyachting.com/photo/12345 with your own particular number on the end). Tell us the link and a few words about your feelings in that moment!

Send contributions to club@yachtsandyachting.com and we look forward to publishing your stories and photos over the coming weeks. If you'd rather send video then just let us know the Youtube link.

Join with us in celebrating the moments that may have made us curse briefly, but ultimately gave us a grin for much longer!

Time to nerd out a bit
Possibly a big bit, as it turns out. Historically we know I am up for it, but how about you? Possibly a big bit, as it turns out. Anyway, historically we know I am up for it, but how about you? Is it the science of silence?
A sensibility and inner peace that only real Zen can deliver. Yes. This is Silent Yachts. Distinctly more than just moments in love? You'd have to think so. A serene theme for life. A futuristic take on it all. New Romantic collides with Renaissance. Abstract meets impressionism. A sensibility and inner peace that only real Zen can deliver. Posted on 17 Mar

Making time to take time
Selene might not be top of mind, but you'll be happy you took time to find out Funny thing is that this title applied to both parties. Me, because we had to make time to find out more about Selene, as they are not what you might refer to as 'top of mind'. It's OK. They admit to that. Posted on 6 Nov 2024
