Lalizas UK distributor for Pains Wessex's new sustainable flare pack

by Lalizas 26 Apr 2022 09:55 PDT

As the UK's Leisure distributor for the Pains Wessex brand, the refill pack option will be a welcomed addition to Lalizas UK's safety product offering.

Available for the Inshore, Coastal and Offshore Flare Pack, the sustainable product upgrade provides customers the option to purchase flare packs without the inclusion of a plastic polybottle. Instead, the packs can be purchased with a 100% sustainable, eco-friendly, biodegradable, compostable and recyclable reinforced paper bag.

Charlie Mill, Managing Director of Lalizas UK comments, 'Customer feedback and market research from our recent flare amnesty's, has contributed to and cemented the need for this product development. Not only is this a sustainable alternative but, presents customers with a cost-effective option when buying new replacement flares."

He continues, "We are pleased to have been involved in the development process. As a team we are always seeking new ways to stay current and strengthen our product portfolio and this product initiative is an industry-first."

Polybottles are often made of a waterproof and buoyant plastic-based material, which has a much longer lifespan in comparison to the 4 year dated flares that are sold with them. This solution stops the unnecessary waste of plastic polybottles, whilst creating a sustainable purchase option for boat owners.

The sustainable paper bag is not designed as a replacement for stowing pyrotechnics onboard, it is purely as a means of transport from the shop to the vessel or home.

The new flare refill packs are now in stock with Lalizas UK and available through their distributor network. To place your order, please get in contact with your Lalizas UK Account Manager.
