Emerson now offers a free template configuration for marine applications, based on its Movicon.NExTTM HMI/SCADA system, and its PACSystemsTM edge controllers, industrial panel PCs, and other control and networking products.

This marine demonstration configuration provides a comprehensive user visualization and interface experience, and it is available free of charge so designers and shipbuilders can accelerate their efforts to deliver a thoroughly modern and unified "single pane of glass" shipboard monitoring and control system.

Aligned with the eco-friendly movement and a more sustainable future for the yachting industry, Quantum is introducing a revolutionary breakthrough in powering stabilizers. The new patent-pending, F45 - Electric / Hydraulic Hybrid Power System, uses the best attributes of a traditional hydraulic power unit and the cleaner advantages of a direct electric drive system. After almost five years in development and eight months of intense testing, the first F45 System was installed on a 47m Feadship Refit. Results from the first sea trial, dated June 24, 2024, were impressive, with efficiencies for zero speed and under way better than expected.

Vision Marine Technologies (NASDAQ:VMAR), a pioneer in electric marine propulsion, is thrilled to announce its partnership with JetRide Holding, LLC, a Florida members-only boat club. This strategic alliance marks Vision Marine's expansion in the burgeoning electric boat rental market, leveraging JetRide's extensive network of over 17 boat club locations across Florida.

They believe the electric boat market is experiencing rapid growth, driven by increasing awareness and demand among both seasoned boaters and newcomers. Similar to the rise of electric cars, they believe that electric boats are becoming essential in the boating world, offering innovative solutions and unique experiences. Electric boating not only attracts existing boaters but also encourages non-boaters to explore and enjoy the pleasures of boating for the first time. Renters will have the opportunity to experience Vision Marine's E-Motion™ Electric Powertrain firsthand, along with a variety of other electric products, all supported by years of expertise in electric boating.

ACR Electronics, a leader in safety and satellite communication devices, has announced the launch of the Bivy Stick MESH. This innovative device is the first satellite messenger to integrate advanced LoRa®-enabled mesh networking with the robust global reach of the Iridium Satellite network, creating a self-sustaining, decentralized network that guarantees seamless and reliable communication without relying on cellular coverage.

The latest sales trends report for outboard engines, part of the National Marine Manufacturers Association's (NMMA) 2023 U.S. Recreational Boating Statistical Abstract, is now available for download. This section provides an overview of U.S. outboard engine retail market trends, including a deep historical view that helps with building future insights.

The U.S. outboard engine retail market in 2023 presented a complex yet largely positive picture with a growing appetite for higher-performance engines. The 300hp and greater segments registered a nearly 18% increase and the 250-299.9hp segment also showed an uptick.

To help bolster Canada's recreational boating industry, specifically in the global marketplace, NMMA Canada announced it was approved for $140,084 in funding from Global Affairs Canada through its CanExport Associations program for the 2024-25 term. The program supports Canadian national industry associations and trade organizations to pursue new or expanded international business development activities related to commercial export for the benefit an entire industry. This marks a significant increase of 50% compared to the contribution received last year, highlighting NMMA Canada's continued commitment to the success and growth of our members on the international stage.

US Harbors has announced the winners of their fifth annual contest to find the "Best Harbor" in the U.S. This crowd-sourced contest, open to the public for voting, is held online each year. People vote on their favorite harbor out of the 1500+ for which US Harbors provides tidal and coastal weather data. Communities with the most passion for where they live, boat, and fish generally end up winning the event, and the 2024 winners include several new harbors that were not previously in the winners' circle.
