The Australian Commercial Marine Group (ACMG) is thrilled to announce the program for the inaugural 'Australian Commercial Marine Conference' set to take place in Sydney on Thursday, August 1, 2024. This new event is set to become a must-attend fixture for the commercial marine industry, bringing valuable insights and information to commercial operators.

The Sydney International Boat Show is only two weeks away and Azimut Yachts Australia with d'Albora Marine are showcasing two of Azimut's bestselling flybridge motor yachts, the 60 Magellano and the ever-popular 60 Flybridge. Set to turn heads as it has the world-over, Australia's first Azimut 60 Magellano will premiere at this year's show. Described as a 'crossover,' the Magellano line is a semi displacement product designed for extended cruising. It features a trademark dual model hull providing two efficient speeds rather than one, whilst also having a top speed of 26 knots. This means you have efficient and stable cruising at a low and medium speed and the ability to get home quickly as the case may be.

The Boating Industry Association Ltd (BIA) announced a partnership with Melanoma Institute Australia, aimed at promoting sun safety among boaters who enjoy the outdoor lifestyle. This collaboration underscores the shared commitment of both organisations to enhance public health and safety. BIA CEO, Andrew Scott, said, "Our partnership with Melanoma Institute Australia aligns perfectly with BIA's mission to promote a safe, responsible and enjoyable boating experience."

X-Yachts is thrilled to announce a new partnership with renowned yachtsman Jesper Radich for their XR 41 racing program. Kevin Wallis, Managing Director of X-Yachts Australia & New Zealand, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, stating, "We are very excited to team up with Jesper. Since the inception of the XR project, we have worked closely with some of the industry's top minds. It's a natural progression to continue this path in both development and competitive racing."

The MIA (Marina Industries Association) continues to promote marina efficiencies. Don't miss out on the NEW Berthing and Haulout Agreements Webinar with Tim Smith, Principal at McInnes Wilson Lawyers, the MIA's legal partners. New agreement templates have been drafted for MIA and BIA members to use and customise for their own marinas. Learn about the new standardised agreements for berthing and haulout, discover how to customise these contracts to suit your marina's specific needs, ensure compliance, and minimise risks.
