The hunt for the elusive Curious Roo continues as the race turns into an offshore tactical battle.

As the front-runners converge in the Solomons region, the chase is intensifying. The gap to the S&S 34 Curious Roo is narrowing, with Zero approximately 60nm behind and Escapade trailing by 190nm.

The challenging tropical conditions are pushing competitors to their limits. Sweltering heat, light winds, and unpredictable shifts are forcing sailors to "sweat it out," searching for every possible breath of wind to navigate through the Solomon region.

Meanwhile, the main fleet is riding the more predictable Trade Winds, closing gaps in this critical phase of the race. Magellan has taken the lead on AMS, overtaking The Secretary, who slowed overnight to resolve autopilot issues. It's still early days, and every boat has the potential to be the dark horse in this race.

In a phoenix-like re-entry, Roaring Forty has received tremendous support to repair their boom and is set to rejoin the race this weekend—an unexpected twist adding even more excitement to the next chapter of the race.

With Alive, the Reichel Pugh 66 set to start this Sunday, one key question remains: Will Alive catch Roaring Forty, or even close in on the rest of the fleet?
