Bayliss Boatworks construction update: Bayliss 72' Old Reliable

by Bayliss Boatworks 3 Mar 2021 06:22 PST

This past month, more details were checked off on the interior and exterior of Old Reliable (Bayliss 72'). Teak decking and coaming boards were installed in the cockpit while mezzanine lids were glassed before receiving their teak decking.

The Exterior Carpentry crew also sanded and primed the flybridge overhang prior to installing the drip molding; they'll undergo rounds of sanding before receiving their final clear coat.

On the interior of Old Reliable, furniture installations continue with the addition of the salon L-shaped sofa, upper cabinets in the master stateroom and shared head. Master and captain head cork flooring has also been installed.

Our Interior Construction crew has several pieces of furniture in different stages of development. Companionway stairs, aft galley cabinetry and salon liquor storage are all still in fabrication while captain and master bunks await final finish. As each of these pieces complete their final finishes, they will be installed into place.
